How a passion for sustainability and environmental preservation led to the creation of Lesstics.
Lesstics was born from a simple realization: the Philippines, like many countries in Southeast Asia, was drowning in plastic waste. Our founder, Jane Cooper, witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of plastic pollution on local beaches and marine life.
In 2018, after seeing a particularly heartbreaking scene of plastic waste washing ashore in Manila Bay, Jane decided something had to change. With a background in materials engineering and a passion for environmental conservation, she began experimenting with ways to repurpose single-use plastics.
What started as a small workshop in Jane's garage has now grown into Lesstics—a company dedicated to transforming plastic waste into valuable resources and building a more sustainable future.
Jane Cooper starts experimenting with plastic recycling methods in her garage after witnessing the pollution crisis in Manila Bay.
After months of research and development, Lesstics launches its first line of products made from recycled plastic. The initial collection includes planters and coasters.
Lesstics begins working with local communities, implementing collection programs and providing training for plastic sorting and processing.
Lesstics opens its first dedicated manufacturing facility and expands its product line to include accessories and packaging solutions for businesses.
Lesstics begins partnering with businesses across the Philippines to implement sustainable packaging solutions, further increasing its impact.
Lesstics receives international recognition for its innovative approach to plastic waste management and wins several sustainability awards.
We begin expanding to neighboring countries in Southeast Asia, bringing our sustainable solutions to more communities and creating a wider impact.
Our vision for the future includes developing new technologies for plastic recycling and expanding our impact across the Asia-Pacific region.
At Lesstics, we envision a world where plastic waste is no longer seen as trash but as a valuable resource. We're working towards a future where:
We're committed to leading the way in this transformation, one plastic bottle at a time.
